Reminds me of some animated film of an evil cathedral, which stands on a cliff and grows like some evil plant or something like that, thought I had it in my favorites but cant find it.

The chosen perspective robs your breath (especially if you afraid of heights, like me ). It gives the picture as much depth as if you could actually stand on a balcony and jump down.
It's also impressive how much expression is created by the minimal palette of colors chosen and the perfect complement to the flames.
Rarely does a picture leave so much impression.

I just love the feeling of scale and enormity in this piece (and the more intimate but still oppressive feel of your follow-up piece). The muted color scheme punctuated by the flashes of stark red and yellow add to the atmosphere.
