I gotta admit, this is one of my more favourable styles of art that appear in the Daily Deviations section; the rest is just nude picks and giantesses, bjkdxff.

Well I mean like.. what techniques? Smudge? Drawn?Ā

just painted with brushwork, not really any specific technique. Freehand painting and I guess I used a couple of gradients to add light and some color.

Besides the fact that this is truly amazing, I can see a cat/lion's face in it. (like, if you look back a little) The brown is the face, the large cyan orb is the eye, the smaller orb is part of the cheek, the dark smudges to the lower left makes the nose... Unless I'm going insane. XP
