This is quite possibly the coolest piece of artwork I've seen in a long long time. Something that could be telling the most epic story, and here we are, all just getting a tiny sliver glimpse into said story...leaving me wondering how did the character come to this point, and where does it go from here...would also make an awesome book, or music album cover, or website backdrop...or a 100 foot by 50 foot billboard on the side of my damn house.

I have an extensive tale in mind that deals with demons and whatnot. The fake angels stuff is something to say how deceitful and manipulative demons should be, posing as angels and so on, not brainless monsters that destroy stuff like in most of mainstream. And that they would have their own structure, culture and society in hell, rather than just being a legion of same-looking naked zombies. Seemed to me that if they were immortal theyΒ΄d develop better than somebody with a 60 year lifespan.

Oh man. The perfect lighting for the halo and the "angel's" eyes, that little hint of light behind the fog being cast off what is either a distant mountain or a small chunk of destroyed Earth. This image gives really good depth and detail in general and I LOVE the atmosphere, as always.

I was almost thinking that the portion you're talking about as backdrop/earth, is actually the creature's robe of some sort floating in the unearthly mist due to magic, or movement...either works, really.
