wow, excellent work. You are a very good sculptor. How long did this piece take you?

Usually takes about two weeks to get a piece done. This one took longer since I could only work on him in between other projects.
Thanks!

you answered in the exact way i wanted you to. lots of people post things like..."a while"...this is no help. So during this two week period, would you be working on just the one figure? 8 hours-a-dayish?

Typically if I'm working on a commision piece I work on it exclusively until it is finished. If I have some down time in between say waiting for approvals or something I'll work on other pieces, which is what I did with this one. But an 8 hour day is unlikely. I will usually work at least 10 hours a day sometimes 14-16 hours a day depending on how the progression is going. I try not to count hours per day. I try to give myself 2 weeks and get it done in that time frame no matter what it takes.

Thanks, yeah, I actually just started to do this full time about 4 months ago. I figured that between the 3d stuff I know how to do and this stuff I could keep myself busy full time and not have to worry about having a 'real' job. Haven't had to look back yet....

i'm working on getting into miniature sculpting full time, don't have the client build yet, i need to start with 3d work. That will broaden my client base. I just talked to one company who contacted me and likes my work. said they'd keep an "eye" on me, but they do digital right now....grrr...

Really awesome Chris. Only thing that looks a little wrong is his nipples. A bit too high and flat like buttons. Actually his whole chest could stretch down to touch the abs, but that's not as distracting. Look at Arnold for comparison [link]
Cheers, Andreas

I agree, his nipples do look weird.
