I really like the sculpture but my eyes keep getting stuck on his triceps because they just don't look anatomically correct. Which is confusing because I know you understand the tricep muscles because I've seen your other sculptures. From this angle it appears as if the muscles are wrapping up and around the arm away from the viewer whereas they should flow to the elbows because that's where they insert. And then to add to the confusion there is a repitition of this odd flow with what appears to be other smaller muscles.
I'm wondering if you are just focusing too much on one piece of reference - of the death dealer painting and miss interpreting it or if your just not looking at enough reference.
Anyway, that's just me being picky but I still think it looks good. I especially like the zombie wherewolf piece!

How do you get the cloak/dress thingy to stay up like that? does it have a frame of sorts?

it's SS firm, and it has a little jar under it just off the pic.

Well, this is just a mock up. Alot of times I just throw some slabs of clay on to get an idea of what everything is going to look like. Kinda helps me make sure I have proportions and stuff right. Alot of times things will look right, until you start adding costume elements. Then the head might appear too small or the legs too long etc. So I'll do this as sort of a test marker. Once I'm happy with everything I"ll rip it a part and make the real pieces. so that chain mail skirt I'll probably make out of wire mesh with clay on top. Typically I"ll wrap and cut a wire mesh to the shape I like, then layer it with clay to make the outside, bake it, and then finish the inside the same way.
