I was messing around with Christopher Hesse's edges2cats app. It's a really neat TensorFlow application (like Google's Deep Dream) that has been trained to recognise cats from line drawings. You can find it here: affinelayer.com/pixsrv/index.h…

These are cats that I scribbled out in about 5 seconds each, processed through edges2cats, then cleaned up in Photoshop. I went for a very stylized look because I knew that attempts at drawing realistic cats probably would have ended up deep in the uncanny valley.

This was a really fun little experiment. Neural Networks like edges2cats are 'intelligent' enough that they feel less like tools and more like collaborators. And I love seeing state-of-the-art technology applied to a silly concept.
