Delicious.

The planet’s mouthwatering essence was nearly prepared. The world’s soul slowly surpassed the ridge of the dark abyss. Wind whipped, and lightning crashed as the remaining life energy sucked toward the white sphere above the chasm. With the last few drops of life absorbed, the harvesting ritual came to an end. The once lush scenery had transformed into a grey landscape.

Time to feast.

I outstretched my arms and started to absorb the soul. Tendrils of the world’s essence spun outward to my hands. I tasted the sweet nectar and gorged myself with the meal. Pure ecstasy overwhelmed my entire being.
In an instant, the feeling vanished. The bright sphere disappeared and only a dark grey scene remained. Left in the darkness with my renewed emptiness, I hungered again. My appetite had always been limitless and unending. I hoped the next world tasted as appetizing.

Planets were, simply, delectable.
