Bees are wonderful!!!!The people whose garden joins ours came round to see if we minded them keeping bees!!!We said of course not!!!Then one day some left the hive and landed in one of our tall trees...so we had a swarm of bees .They did go but not back in the hive!! :

I watch them go about the work and it is fascinating to see how they do their jobs. At one point there were 4 different types of bees dancing on the plants

It is too bad we don't get to see much of it unless you go into the country or woods , there is nothing where I live .

That is why I count my lucky stars that I get to live in the heart of a forest(I am still in a town) 5 minutes away from the house and the people are gone, and nature comes forward.. I welcome these bees and never swat at them

Our town is 20 miles away from the summit of Willamette Pass and we are the first town coming down the mountain. We get our water from an unspoiled aquafer here in the valley. A new well pulls water(snowmelt that has seeped into the ground) and feeds the town. Yes Patty it is very different tasting from city water, almost like a bottle of purified water. I like to share my nature with you my friend so you can enjoy with me

Oh yes, We have one grocery store(Rays) and an A&W and a Subway. And there are a few pubs and a small downtown. It is a small community of 3200 or so. It is like Mayberry RFD(Andy Griffith)

It has been in the 90's and fire is a real danger.. There are 6 wildfires burning in the area. It is the only thing that makes me nervous is the fire danger where I live(in a canyon)Β
A very hot dry summer here in the mountains, did not have a fire in my fire pit all summer.Β

Oh shit , for sure . It can be very nerve wracking and all it takes is a spark or some careless person tossing a lit cigarette and bam a fire rages on .

The helicopters are flying overhead as I write this, there is a fire(new) burning 10 miles away east up the canyon. It is around 100 acres.. I am going to post a pic of the smoke here by my house.
