I'm going to be a little honest now and please don't this the wrong way, but this is totally not how Saiyans act. At all. Even Gine, who's by all standards one of the kindest Saiyans, doesn't show this kind of relationship with her child. This is cute obviously, but way out of character.

Yes but they are half breeds and weren't raised on planet Vegeta so any behavior you see from the saiyans there you won't see from them. Cauli was raised by kind extraterrestrials, she wasn't taught to be a proud warrior or anything like that. Same is said for Rez. I think Saiyans born and raised under totally different atmospheres would be drastically, if not slightly, different from each other....behavior wise to be precise lol
