Description
In the early years of the Romulan War, the USS Newton was part of a task force patrolling the Omicron sector, when it suddenly broke formation and warped out of the system. It was never heard from again.

The only clue to its fate? A single message, broadcast to Starfleet Command, confirming receipt of orders to head into uncharted territory to render aid to the USS Storm.

But the USS Storm was in Drydock, in Earth orbit.
And no orders had been given to the Newton.

For nearly a century the fate of the Newton, and her crew of 35, was unknown. Until one day, whilst mapping out an unknown system, the USS Homer encounters an old ship of Earth origin...
