"One man Delta Squad" might be a bit much.
As cool as it was to finally get a Commando in the show, The Clone Wars did not use him properly.
But, I am happy that we got him regardless.

I believe every member of the delta squad has his very unique specialties. I don't really what Boss is really good at though, canon wise (I'm guessing tactics) since the player is controlling him, and inevitably transforming him into a one man army.
Gregor in my opinion is a brilliant mind in close firefights and improvisation. In a minute of screentime he managed to blow up more droids then featured in entire episode 3, haha.
If he would join Delta squad (or take Sev's place after he disappeared) I strongly believe the clone wars would have been shorter

It is a rare thing, yes, which is why I'm as excited as I am about all of this. Have you read any of the books? Or played any of the old video game?
From everything that I've found and read, the only thing that set Boss apart is the fact that he was, "an incredibly gifted soldier. Scoring higher than most of his clone commando compatriots during his training on Kamino at a young age." Along with that, I'm sure tactics came into play, as well as some other things.
