This rocks, too good for you that you watched those war documentaries it definetly paid off.

Yeah, I was looking at the style of the footage, grainy, over-exposed in places and actually very little detail, all suggested... Good tip for this, when you've done, fill a layer with a mid grey on top then >filter>add grain, >filter>blur more, then set this layer to "Soft Light" and reduce the opacity accordingly....
