Please check out my 3000 watcher contest:3000 Watchers - Thank You RaffleAbout to hit 3000 watchers. I can’t tell you how incredible you guys are. It’s taken nearly 10 years to get to this point but I’m more excited than ever to keep producing 3D models and working in DAZ.
To say thank you for your continued support I’m going to host a contest in an attempt to give something back to you all. I’ve seen how these things can sometimes blow up so I’m going to offer loads of prizes based on how many entries this gets.
· 1st Prize – 4K Commission. Anything you like – personalised build 3D model or a DAZ3D render of your OC or scene you’d like to see. Oooor… a £20 Amazon gift voucher.
I've decided to get a GamePrint model of Lorelei to mark her 1st birthday (feels a LOT longer). I decided not to think up a new costume but go back to some oldies.
Either the costume in which she made her debut- when she didn't even have a name and was just a skin I'd been messing around with that needed a morph OR do I go with the costume that landed me my first ever Daily Deviation?
Also, any suggestions for tweaks to either model? I'm going to go full out- get the largest size possible and full hand-painted.

I much prefer the one on the right. It's possible the sword will be fragile... but I think the skirt feathers on the left on might be even more trouble. I think the right figure is more striking overall.

Thank you! I might get rid of this spear and replace with a more robust looking one in an upright position. From what I've seen on the GamePrint website, they'll be able to add suitable thickness to the feathers to make them sturdy.

They are both amazing and will make wonderful models to display.
From a purely practical point of view I would be concerned about the weapon being susceptible to breaking in a model form. Which would be a shame.

If you're looking to sell the models, I think the more badass-looking version on the right is probably more profitable. Maybe have her holding the weapon more upright?

I could print out on my own 3d printer, but it wouldn't have anything like the quality required for someone to self paint.

I really think the outfit on the right, red and black is striking. Makes her stand out. Beautiful work and really hope this project turns out for you. Wonderful idea.

As for making a display in GamePrint -- wow! Can only wish I had the art chops to do that with some of my drawings!

GamePrint is a free plugin for DAZ, so once you have the model in 3D they do all the hard work- I won't be able to take much credit for the final piece.

I'm not sure yet, but I will post that when I submit the order. You have to submit your model before you get a final quote- but it will be somewhere between £200-£400 if I go for the largest size (12 inches) and hand painted in full colour.

I have never advertised, but since day one I have had lots of requests. but yeah, just not been good experiences for me, either getting stiffed, or customer constantly demanding change upon change so it just takes up so much time and takes the joy out of it. And then demands for subject matters that just aren't at all to my taste.
