Description
Colour is the world to the viewing eye. Every object is seen in its own unique colour and is to the eye an event in colour. Colour is a portion of the essence of reality. We recognise and acknowledge the things of the world, a pleasure to the eye, the joy of life.Karl Otto Jung

Wonderful - like the light patterns on the surface of a soap bubble.

Bit of a bugger if one is colour blind.

I just can't help myself. Still, it makes the messages a little less dull.

That depends - my father is "colour blind" but he still sees colour - just some seem the same to him.
In fact in some paintings and camouflages he can see what others cannot.
I do not know if there is a condition where somebody is truly "colour-blind" in that they see only in shades of grey like at night or in a darkened room.

That's ok - a lot of people actually don't understand about his (my father's) condition and really do think he can't see colour at all.
I must admit his sense of colour, as in what goes with what, is very distorted - his house is painted in some very clashing colours which he has no problems with - I am quite used to it of course.
As to seeing "greys" - try it for yourself - at night, have some lights on at one end of the house and go into darker and darker rooms until you can see the room and objects in it but not the colour.

True. I was only mucking about.
It would be a bit of a bugger if someone could only see greys. Handy for tonal studies though.

Lol. How big is YOUR house?
I find that I can usually make out colour in the dark still, even if I can't focus without glasses anymore.

Only an average single level 3 bedroom suburban home - we do have vertical blinds which keeps out a lot of external light.
