Whether they were crossing fast-moving rivers or traversing dangerous glaciers, his family always expected fawns to keep up or get left behind. Was it tough? Absolutely. Did it make him tougher? Debatable- but Fiske likes to think that it did! It certainly made him surefooted, that's for sure.
