"You'll get him next season, young one; now retreat. The battle is lost but you have plenty of time to prepare for the next, if you so choose to heal," Skuldafn lectured, pushing away the tattered and beaten little buck from the fight.

Skuldafn could tell in his eyes he wanted to argue with him, but one would dare not go against his word, so with every ounce of dignity he had left, the young buck limped away. Skuldafn nodded to the stag behind him, "You have won, so enjoy your spoils," and left the male and his 'prize' of a doe to do what nature intended to happen.

So every day my mom would drive me to school (because I still don't have my permit to learn >.<) and thanks to Texas's bi-polar weather, some days we'd have very strange cloud formations and other days it would be normal. Fortunate for me, most days the clouds were very cool and my phone is just full of pictures of the sky. This is the first time I really modeled the clouds off a real picture (on my old pictures I kinda b-s'ed it), and I like it. Plus the grass, the action-y poses of the stags, I think this has been one of my favorite pictures to do. Hands down. It has also been a very fun roleplay - since Grim wants to be a general and Skul loves his job (plus, he loves to help people).

Also, completely unrelated, but as I drew this scene this song kept popping up in my mind - so I imagine it as the music playing during this fight [link]
