Description Well, the year has come to an end so I decided I should continue this tradition of mine. It isn't quite 2008 yet, but there is currently somewhat of a cyclone developing in my part of the world so the sky is completely covered with clouds. I won't get to take the telescope out again this year.

My past yearly deviations have been titled "The Planets", but I decided to change that to "The Solar System" as I've included many non-planetary bodies.

The objects shown are in order from top to bottom:

- The Sun.
- Venus.
- The International Space Station.
- The Moon.
- Mars.
- Vesta.
- Jupiter.
- Ganymede.
- Saturn.
- Uranus.
- Comet McNaught.

It has been a very good year. I am very happy with the quality of my images, I think I've improved quite a bit over last year. And with my new DMK camera, laptop, and powermate, this should only increase.

The details associated with each image is slightly different, so if you have any questions it would be best to head to my gallery and find the original deviation. But generally, I used my 10" Newtonian telescope with a Panasonic video camera attached afocally to assorted eyepieces to capture these images.

Just to note, I put this deviation together on my new laptop which has a slightly brighter screen than the one I am currently on. Because of this, some parts of the image might look slightly too dark on dimmer monitors (especially the left image of the Moon). Sorry about that.

Have a wonderful 2008.

Excellent m8!! Fabulously put together! It's great how you can see the difference in the tilt of saturn earlier in the year to the end!

For a moment I thought you took one picture of the entire solar system what kind of giga-wide angle would you use then?
Anyway, cool idea to make this!
