Remeber Lyman from the old Garfield comics?
I always liked Lyman, he was cool. He had a moustache.
Anyway, as of 1983, you never saw him in a strip again. Why? Well Jim Davis had intended Lyman to be someone for Jon to talk to. But that role was later assumed by Gafield.

In Garfield's 20th anneversery book, there was a section that had the top 10 things that happened to Lyman.
SO this got me thinking, "why not make a comic about Lyman and odie? One that shows what things they were doing instead of Garfield and Jon?"

So this is the first comic.
