the render time was not much first 50 frames under a minute per frame, second 50 frames in up to 2 minutes per frame, third 50 Frames up to 5 minutes per frame....
So the render time gets higher the more Volume is in Frame and the bigger the Volumedata are.

The hole rendering was done in about 12h on one system.
Simulation files (OpenVDB) took are about 14GB of space and took about 2h to simulate.

Oh - that's bad at all - that includes all the physical modeling and not just the image generation - I'm hoping to start learning Blender very soon - once I finish with my current Poser project.
