Description
Just a little fox illustration I did for fun, and because I was inspired by this amazing photography by Bob Malbon:ro.pinterest.com/pin/415808978…
Used: watercolor, colored pencils (black), colored fineliners on A5!
Not my best fox illustration, but I hope you'll enjoy it!

Water colors are difficult, but You nail it!
And as a side note, foxes are my favorite.

Personally, I think this is great! Just last night I was watching the BBC's Earth II series, and one segment had a fox, in snow, pinpointing a vole, eyes closed, and then diving and catching it - amazing. With this work, I think you caught the action and the intensity of this fox's concentration. Well done.
Thanks for sharing.

I like foxes. When I lived in Denver, Colorado, foxes used to visit our neighborhood in the night. The first time I heard a fox scream, I had no idea what it was - I thought something was being tortured. Neither of my dogs liked it, either. Once, I witnessed a mother fox with two kits roll around and stretch on my front lawn just before the sun came up. I plan on doing a fox soon, but haven't decided whether to carve it out of wood, or needle felt it.

Wow, that's amazing! I've never seen a fox in real life before!
I mean it was this one time I was on a road trip, and a fox ran in front of us, but he was so fast, I didn't even realized what it was, until it was late...so I guess it doesn't really count!

Of course it counts. Thing is, is that all sorts of animals normally associated with wilderness are adapting to cities, so you may see a fox in your neighborhood sooner than you suppose.

The arc of this pose is drawn well, and the watercolor blending is a neat effect.
