All the millions of souls... truly beautiful if you stop and think of this photo as more than just a picture of a city. Think about the lives contained within. Think about the stories. Humanity breathes...

Je sais pas je la trouve bien comme Γ§a.
Franchement, les contrastes donnent bien la profondeur.

Lovely shot.

Don't you just love New York? Despite it's busy, bustling atmosphere... it's very beautiful.

You have some beautiful works.
What is your prefered way for getting your type of high contract BnW shots.
Do you use different types of layer styles in photoshop or is it somthing all differnt.
Nice work!

Thanks Chris

I use ilford film HP5+ I try to expose correctly or a little bit under-exposed.
Film development is standard to have correct contrast (but not to much), and I scan it then on my flatbed scanner.

In Photoshop/gimp, I just check for the "levels" and "contrast" I usually avoid to move to much (image degradation...)

Last thing, I use medium format camera, providing 6*6 (centimeters) square films (Rolleiflex or similar).

Not sure it's all about it, but Ok, I tired to describe as clearly as possible !

tell me if any other question
