Great job! In my opinion, even Freddy Krueger doesn't look as terrifying as Captain Howdy.

It's a simple makeup job but at the same time there's something so disturbing about distorting the human face like that.

Wholly crap. I don't think I have ever seen a drawing as terrifying as this of Captain Howdy. *shudder*

the quick cuts that are shown in certain scenes? Freaky shit. I didn't know it/he had a name...

Yep. I watched the extended cut again a few days ago and it has a lot more scenes with the captain. Think I like the "less is more" approach of the theatrical but it did give me an idea for this card.

Iβve never seen the extended version, but I clearly recall way back in the days of video tape, late one night watching the regular version and thinking I saw a blink of _something_ then going back to try to find it, and back in those days there was no βscreen captureβ so I took a camera (you know, with film) and took a snap.
Man oh man Iβm oldβ¦
But yeah, Iβm sure the extended drives it into overkillβ¦

The good old days. I broke my parents VCR as a kid by constantly pausing it for extended periods of time while drawing. Should have tried that camera technique.

Well, the ol' cathode ray always interfered with picture taking, but it worked well enough...
