Hi christopher, What a wonderful painting. It is so creative and unique. It's fascinating how you managed to get the water drops to look so transparent in oils. background texture is beautifully done. love the hearts on the lady bugs in place of spots.

the waterdrops are wonderful. I've been studying how you have done them for the past 5 minutes. Great how they magnify the cracks in the paint and how some of the shadows make some drops on the surface and others above the surface. Do you use the same paint colors as the background colors?

Hi, yes I use the same colours as the background. I thin my oils down, quite a bit and use soft watercolour brushes, flared out to blend.
