Description While no one was looking the toys decided to make a run for it.

They heard there were better cookies, milk and films at another house.

Happy Christmas / Holidays to you all.

Hey, thanks. We thought they looked like a bunch of cuties with a hint of rascal.

Happy Christmas if you celebrate it.

You can tell the teddy bear is the ring leader. As he has that mischievous look in his eyes! LOL!

Love the comedy of this scene; that they are escaping, to get better treats from the neighbours.

Have a great Christmas and New Year celebration, too.

Oh yes. your right there.

You can never trust a ted.

Really pleased you liked the comedy of this one. My husband enjoyed doing it and thought it was funny about the escape to the neighbours for better goodies!!

Enjoy your Christmas and all celebrations too.

Yes, you did an amazing job of the artwork. It was very humorous.

I have pondered on a similar idea before, with some other types of character. But, I haven't had the time, to create the scene yet. But, it did involve some characters escaping, who shouldn't be! LOL!

It certainly works for toys though! Very well done! You could just imagine the people finding a letter, the next day; from the toys saying goodbye and that they were leaving for better premises! Ha! Ha!

Wishing you and your husband a great Christmas celebration, too. Have a lovely Thursday!

My husband will be pleased you liked it.

I hope you get a chance to do your version of this in the new year.

I liked the idea of the letter being found in the morning. Just hope Father Christmas doesn't find out he will be annoyed!!

Your husband is welcome, for the comment. I also loved the toy train. Very well done!

My version of groups of characters escaping wasn't to be toys or Christmas orientated. But, if I do model the scene, I will post it up on Deviant Art.

Enjoy your Sunday. Best Wishes!

Thanks for the comment, He was please with the train and kept changing it for quite a while until he was satisfied.

I look forward to you doing that scene.

Have a good weekend yourself.

You are welcome. The train is very impressive. I once modelled The Rocket. But, I have yet to try and create one, which is like what your husband created. It reminds me of The Flying Scotsman train, in shape.

I am currently working on some other scenes. But, if I decide to create the escaping one, I will post it up.

I am glad your husband was pleased with his train. He definitely did an awesome job of it. I would have been proud, if I had created that train, myself!

As I mentioned before. I have made The Rocket train. But, when I develop my skills further; I would like to create the train from the Harry Potter films.

I have recently completed another artwork based upon Aesop's fable 'The Tortoise and the Hare'. It features my characters Harry the Hare and Tobias the Tortoise, playing the parts.

Hope you are enjoying your week, so far!

Yes the train from Harry Potter is something that would be great to do but you certainly need lots of skills for that one. Like you we are not at that type of level to make something so complex.

Each time we work on Blender we are always learning, its a great free amazing software setup and we love it.

have a good evening

Yes, it would be a challenge to make Harry Potter's train. But, also fun! I think the hardest part would be modelling all the intricate parts at the bottom of the train. I think the train shape and carriages would be easier to do. Trouble is. There aren't may good photographs on the internet of the tricky parts. Or, you could use this, as a template to model those parts. Which would make the job easier to do.

Have a lovely day!

hey, I had an idea about your Harry Potter train. I know it would not be perfect. you could do the basic modelling of the shape from the pictures you have already found.
But for the intricate mechanisms I looked on google images under steam train mechanism. This gives you a total break down of all the different parts to make up the moving parts needed to make your train accurate. Or as accurate as you want it.
I also thought possibly the easiest way to shape them would be to use a mesh plane (shaped correctly) laid over each image then either extrude backwards or use the solidify with possibly a subsurface modifyer. Instead of catmalt-clarke have it as simple for the hard angular parts. Lots of the parts are repetitions but larger or smaller. I think initially it would be daunting but once you got into the swing of it it would be easier than it first seemed. Just very time consuming.
Yes my husband and I talk like this all the time to each other, we really are very nerdy.
have a good Monday.

Thank you very much, for the brilliant idea; concerning the Harry Potter train. I think those pictures would work. Sometimes, it pays to use different words, when you are searching for the right images. I sometimes look up the names of certain parts of an object, so I can get a better look at it. But, I don' t think I would have thought up mechanism. I might be able to use that, for other types of craft, or machinery, as well.

Yes, I would use planes, or alternatively a circle, to begin with; to model the individual parts. Although, I do like to extrude parts from the same mesh. You cannot always do that. Sometimes, you have to make them individually and then either intersect them, or just Join them together, using Control J.  I also like to use Solidify. It is a pretty useful modifier.

Nothing wrong with being nerdy. I think it is a useful skill to have. After all, most artists are inspired by nerdy stuff!

Enjoy your day. Nice talking to you again!
