As much as I hate the film, Zilla is pretty cool. And yes, I call him Zilla, cause he's really a different creature of his own kind, never a Godzilla incarnation. I don't find him a traditional Godzilla at all. I mean if he was, then this would be the worst design in history (since the 1967's design). Zilla is awesome, the reason he's in Final Wars is because that Toho bought the rights of this monster and renamed him Zilla just to have Godzilla kick his ass for a awesome slap in the face to Roland Emmerich (I love that). Even Tristar were embarrassed with this design because they were rushing with the project just to get Roland Emmerich to do this film.
However there was a concept with the design of Godzilla (created by Stan Winston) and it was amazing. They could've used that design and Steven Spielberg to direct a Godzilla movie. Get me? But hey I will admit, if it weren't for this abomination, the Millennium would never exist.

Actually, they are. Same design, same characterization. The only difference is the name. I prefer calling him Zilla, not just because he's the same thing. But he doesn't look like a traditional Godzilla at all. Even Tristar were embarrassed of this abomination Roland Emmerich did, since they were rushing the project. Plus, Toho bought the rights of this abomination, and renamed it Zilla, just to have the real Godzilla kill that abomination.
Calling him Zilla is much better, because he's a cool monster in his own way. As Godzilla, it looks like Roland Emmerich shits out a huge turd on the name and the design.

They are NOT the same. Anything related to the 1998 film and Patrick Tatopoulos' design before 2003 is STILL Godzilla, anything after 2004 that's uses the design is Zilla. Do more research on it.

No, I still call him Zilla. I see him as a different creature/Kaiju rather than being another Godzilla incarnation. Same design that appeared in 2004, same roar, same everything. Only difference is the name.
