This is a great portrait... The framing is just right; and from the way she is looking down, towards the wine glass, she looks sad or melancholy.

The subtle part (at least I thought it was subtle) is that all the verticals in the background are slightly off, to give a snapshot feel. Or possibly a feeling of inebriation. If you rectify the vertical, the image isn't as good.
