Description
Art complete!This piece was quite a bit simpler than my last one, but I think the perspective and composition are a bit more elegant. That sky sure was fun to draw.
I'm trying to work on my painting technique, so this one is much less reliant on lines than my last piece. Also, I got tired of using a pre-made tree brush, so I made a new brush of my own again.
I hope you all enjoy it. Comments and criticism are always welcome, and I'll do my best to reply to every one.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love how massive the dragon looks compared to the trees way down below. Criticism? Hmm, well you might have been able to do more with the light lining the clouds (I love the way clouds reflect sunsets and moonlight, etc). And you could have had the tree line go part way up the mountains to give a better perspective on how big they are, but now I'm just being nit-picky. I really love this piece, the feel of it and the way the light highlights the grass and trees. The perspective is fantastic.

That idea with the trees is rather good. I kind of wanted to separate the different parts of the piece for a greater sense of depth, but after adding the lighting the atmospheric effects aren't as noticeable.
I'm uploading a retouched version right now. I'm adding a few more background trees, near the bottom of the mountains. The trees are behind my fog layers, so they might be a little tough to see, but I think the texture of them helps tie things together a bit better.
I'll keep that in mind about the clouds, too. I might play around with them a bit more, too.
Being nit-picky helps me find ways to improve.

Dang, thats one huge dragon!
It must have taken a long time to get all those blades of grass to be properly lighted like that!

The lighting on the grass didn't take all that long, actually. I used the shape of the grass to make the lighting, so I was able to take some shortcuts. I did draw a decent portion of the grass by hand, though.
It's good to know that the tree brush looks good, too. It's something that I should be able to use to make all sorts of trees, not just pine trees.
