Yeah it seems like those were the only games where that happened. In the classic games though Knuckles and Tails could still roll and do spin attacks despite not being hedgehogs, though seeing even Amy, along with Cream and Shadow in ball form is almost non-existent outside the Advance series (since I lost mine I haven't played them in years now, but I do have fond memories of them )

This is awesome. Though this reminds of Sanicball.

It's a fan made racing game using Sonic characters in ball form. It's pretty funny and actually has online racing.

That does sound pretty cool. Though I suck at using the keyboard for gaming (hence why I just stick to consoles )

how about Spess Mehreens Devastator lays suppressive fire against rolling Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream with his Heavy Bolter?

Cream the Rabbit. Quite frankly she isn't anywhere near as cool as the main ones. But I just needed something else in there

Good idea starting from oldest first, I do that a lot actually, until I reach a point where the old stuff is no longer good But when I find an artist I really like I first see how good (or bad) their early submissions are compared to the new ones that grabbed my attention

cream is a rabbit
tails is a fox
knuckles is an echidna
I get the idea but i you think about it real hard the title wouldn't work is half of the cast weren't hedgehogs

Chromattix In reply to Matthugh1000 [2011-05-03 23:48:38 +0000 UTC]
That's true, in fact it's even less than half, with only two here being actual hedgehogs. Still, that makes more hedgehogs than other animals in here

Sega seems to be forgetting lately that Cream, Amy, Tails, Knuckles and Shadow can all run almost as fast, if not as fast, as Sonic. And perform the spin-dash.
This pic is really nice. Makes me wish Sega would make a Sonic Advance 4 for the DS...

Chromattix In reply to ArticaArtes [2010-07-19 03:23:20 +0000 UTC]
Same with the older games too where Knuckles and Tails were as fast. I gues sthey had to slow down the other characters since Sonic's speed is what makes him special...otherwise being the fastest thing on Earth dosn't mean much if you have half a dozen friends that are the same still - all seem to be much faster than any real life animal lol

ArticaArtes In reply to Chromattix [2010-07-20 01:33:08 +0000 UTC]
Well, I guess it does makes a lot more sense that way. But still, I just wish Sega didn't have everybody - including Shadow, who's supposed to be as fast as Sonic - moving at snail's pace, like in Next Gen.
And I wish that they gave Cream more appearences, but that's beside the point.
But, yeah, even the way they are now, even Big could outrun a cheetah moving at top speed.

It was one of my earliest deviations, and was made years earlier again - when I was around 15 or 16 and at the peak of my Sonic fandom...I think it was back when Sonic Heroes was the the latest new Sonic game out!

I love that game, I really can't understand why everyone seems to hate it so much, I mean, the worlds look so creative and colourful, there just isn't a game quite like it! Its those colourful environments that makes sonic so unique amongst the gaming world.

I'm not so keen on it now, but I have at least once 100% finished the game (all teams, all missions and all A-rankings ) but when it came out I thought it was the greatest! I remember being in the car on the way home form the shop and so eager to play it, but my stupid family made me wait 10 minutes longer while they stopped at the liquor store
but it was a huge step above the previous Sonic Adventure 2 in regards to graphics and stages, the graphics were much nicer and the stages more closely resembled the old Sonic games than Sonic dventure 2's stages did (most of which were urbanised ones and a little too much on the "realistic" side). But I only really enjoyed using Team Sonic themselves, nothing beats the original trio - and the other missions, especially Team Chaotix's ones drove me crazy

TheCrimsonEmo In reply to Chromattix [2010-04-21 03:20:16 +0000 UTC]
Team chaotix were definatly the low point of the game team rose was kinda pointless as well but it can't be helped I guess
Btw did you have the xbox version of the game, awesome fun fact: if you change the xbox language settings to japanese you can play any sonic game with the japanese voice cast, this only works on xbox though, ps2 and gamecube can't do it because they dont give you the option. but its like a completely different game altogether its awesome

Chromattix In reply to TheCrimsonEmo [2010-04-21 03:29:23 +0000 UTC]
Some aspects of Team Chaotix were amusing (especially their band which was aimed to sound so awful that it destroyed all enemie sin sight ) but them and Team Rose I really only used because I had to in order to properly beat the game. team Dark had the most challenging missions, but they're just not as "fun" as Team Sonic
We had the Xbox and Playstation2 too, but since the Gamecube was by far my most used one (the other consoles were my brother's and stepdads's) I got the GC version

I see you decided to browse to the deep recesses of my 2006 submissions Lucky Sonic games don't have to be realistic otherwise they would have a lot of explaining to do with those ears and tails always "floating" behind them
if the games were real, then you could only imagine how dirty, scratched and bruised they would get after spending all that time rolling at high speed along the rough ground
Thanks for faving too

Marbles are awesome...I made some "Custom Sonic marbles" when I was around 15 by painting the characters in their rolled-up forms on old snooker balls I did pretty good for my age...it would have been not too long before (or after) I made this

I've had this idea for a new one in mind for ages now, but keep putting it off for other, better concepts the angle and perspective of the peice would be much harder ti illustrate though, since I want a more dynamic angle ( maybe with them coming out of the loop ) so I guess the longer I wait, the more skill I would have gained and the better the result will be

Odd I found that Tails and Cream can roll without their tails/ears involve in the spinning.
