Description
Something for everyone, and Myself in the spirit of My first Christmas on DeviantArt. And what represents this time of the year than the classic Christmas tree.I was going to make the lights all white for a more formal look but decided that colourful lights look more cheerful and theres bound to be a colour that everybody likes shining between pale fronds of magic. I was even considering making it into a Christmas card even if I have to wait 'till next time.

I don't get why they don't...If I find a gallery I like enough to watch, I will always browse all the way back
I came here in early 2006 because a friend showed me this site. Back then, I didn't really take digital art that seriously. I just did quick images that took no more than one afternoon, many of which heavily relied on "presets"

Thanks, and Christmas is nice, even though it's in the height of Summer and theres no snow here in most of Australia, but that only means families celebreate Christmas outside on those warm nights

yeah, I had to re-upload it when I realised that after nearly a week, the problem didn't go away ( damn, I bet it cost me hundreds of pageviews during that time

It was a tough choice deciding whether tp hae all lights blue to calm it down, or to have them coloured like in real life. I was happy that the different coloures wern't too much.

I think that because they aren't too dark or too bright - but a bit muted it works really well. It has a real soft feel. I would really like it all in blue/silver/white though too!

Glad you went with the colored ones, it does brighten it up, and I think seeing as it's a white tree to begin with, the white lights would've faded into the tree.
I love the lights' reflections onto the snow, it looks really cool. Nice job overall, congrats on DD

I was almost going to have either white or blue lights for a monochrome and wintery look...But I'm glad I did them colourful as most say that it is better with coloured lights ( and almost all trees have colourful ones anyway )

This is a gorgeous tree...and I normally don;t care for frosted trees. I am glad you decided to go with the color...white would have been too much. The color is fantastic. I love the color reflecting off of the branches.

White was my original intention, as I have seen the same spiral-trees in white before ( thats where I got the idea from ) but the dark backround made me think blue would have blended in better.
