"An Urban legend states, that if you shudder for no reason at all, then someone has just walked over the spot where you'll eventually be buried"...Pretty creepy huh?Anyway, This is my submission for the =TreesClub Halloween contest where you had to produce a Halloween-themed deviation that involved the tree being the main focus. Nearly all the entries were photography so I though and hope this would stand out from the crowd, and the idea expressed is pretty self explanatory.
To be Honest, Halloween isn’t a big deal in Australia, last year our house got no trick-or-treaters, and the year before that, only 2. Even I wasn’t allowed to do it as a kid unless my mother came with me and my younger brother, even then, we’d only visit half a neighbourhood…at 5pm which is still daylight at this time of the year ( Southern hemisphere means Halloween is in Spring ) So having little Halloween experience means I never cared enough about it to make one for last year, and if it weren’t for this contest, I may not have done this either but it sparked this image in my head which I just HAD to do…Yeah, it may not look scary like a Macabre and Horror deviation should, but when am I going to get to use this category for my gallery. Hope you enjoy it mwah ha ha ha ha ( walks off into creepy mist to work on the next deviation )

To avoid something really scary, I bid you do not rip my art. It'll save us all a lot of time and its just wrong

The lighting in this is perfect - both from the moon and the lanterns (skulls and jacks) below. The texturing is also wonderful (full view is a must). The tombstones, the tree, all of it has a really nice texturing to it; the moon was especially nicely done. Great work.

you got one hell of a creepy tree there. would have passed over it, but then i saw how you draw the bark,all twisted like so after that i HAD to get a closer look!

I was almost going to have just a black silhouette of the tree, but I thought the extra details would benifit the picture. Thanks for noticing !

Anyway, I like this one soooo much ^^ Even the moon is so detailed! The skulls and pumpkins are 3d-ish too!

Yeah, after being ripped a few times before, I was forced to put a distinctive warning on most of my best deviations, and drop down the full-view size...Hopefully that would discourage most from doing it.
Lol, yeah, its passed. But this is still getting as much attention as it was before. I have to think of something to top this one next year

I loved that movies, but havn't seen it in years. I was thinking about sitting it on top of a curly cliffside like in that movie. But I decided I wanted it to be more original.

Well there aint nothing "weird" about wanting to spend time here. You are not the first to say it, and I think I still gave it a warming and relaxing look to it. Dim, Amber-lit conditions actually relax me

Nothing subliminal ..."submit"... about "submit" it. I love to host anything ... "submit"... that even remotely fits the 3D landscape gene'

Well I give you permission to add it if you want. A handful may be dissapointed at a 2D peice coming. But I guess a highly detailed 2D scene is as good as 3D one. Though because 2D scenes are harder to make more "real" the standards for 2D ones should be higher than 3D ones.
I'm just a bit worried if a flood of Photoshopped landscapes starts pouring into the club if people see this here. But I'll leave it up to you. The pros and cons of adding or leaving it are too evenly balanced for me to decide
