Yet a desolation of a strangely attractive kind. Unfortunately, although I tried my best, the pic hardly represents the complete atmosphere of the place.. Oh well!

Tbh, HK reminded me of home (or a place that should be the home) a lot more than my actual home. I wonder what it looks like to a true Hongkonger!

Was this taken in or around Kowloon?Β

Hi, I'm afraid I'm not completely sure as this was shot through an A11 bus window somewhere halfway from the airport to the centre, but I guess you're right, this seems to be Hoi Lai Estate in West Kowloon:

Hey hey hey, look at that! It wasn't by Lok Fu like I thought it was, but not too far off it. It's good to know that distances and specifics warp in my memory over time, but I've still got a fairly accurate mental map of the place.Β

Oh, I wish my own HK mental map could be less fragmentary than its current state. Should totally go again! (three times were clearly not enough even for a start) (now please excuse me while I bwaaaaa~)

This kinda looks like an optical illusion. Really cool. ^^
Not sure why but buildings like these disturb me. At the same time I think they look super cool.

Oh, I know what you mean, somewhat depressive and visually tense but utterly fascinating, what's not to love!

It seems like the buildings aren't completely straight.

Well they actually aren't, if you open the pic in any graphics editor and throw some guides.
Unfortunately, it's the highest perspective correction precision level I could achieve on the 4.3" phone screen at that moment, my bad!
Also, there's some lens distortion too.

You've got a great eye sir!
