Although Milly can notify the instructor to stop if she can't handle the pain anymore...
Cause her instructor always tells her to endure as long as she can...
And Milly isn't the only who has to go through this kind of tests...
People with powers that can endure more...
Usually have much more "deadlier" tests...
Depending on what kind of powers they have...

Maybe it could be a nation wide thing? Since people are naturally born with powers (I think you mentioned that in a post somewhere..), maybe as a precaution, they could be taken to a nearby facility which does a DNA scan to compare their powers with others and whatnot.
for example, say Milly were to go there for a check up. She'd go into a room where they attach some wires and stuff (or maybe not), and they scan her DNA-comparing it to that of others with powers similar to her's, and through some technological stuff that doesn't need to be explained, the people in charge will learn of Milly's limits, without any painful experimentation.Β
Oh, and maybe they could go also to make sure there aren't any mutations that could occur, and if there's a possibility, then they could get a shot that suppresses the mutation. Like a Flu Shot.

Wow, somehow she looks even MORE freaked out then in the black and white version.
One little possibility for improvement though, if you don't mind me saying: the inside of her mouth/tongue could use a little more pink/red. It's too close in color to her skin tone as is.
