No one told Lizzie the worst part about being a mech pilot. It's not the physical strain, or the implant plugs, or the injuries -- it's the endless ennui that comes during the downtime. After becoming so acclimated to ATHENA that it's like a part of her body, being without her armored skin feels... wrong. When you've soared above the clouds as an invincible goddess, how can you get excited about getting dressed and leaving your apartment in the middle of the winter?

...might as well just stay in, order pizza, and sleep for a few more days.

I like to think of this as the opposite of the pic of her eating a sandwich by the lava fields. Lizzie used to be the toughest girl in the world, and now she's become a bit of a marshmallow.
