Umbra is my OC son of Zedd & Rita (Thraxx doesn't exist in my fanverse lol)...Because Thraxx's origin story makes no sense whatsoever and I wanted to see if I could come up with an heir to their throne who wouldn't make one's head hurt thinking about the continuity XD

They would be going up against a fan made group of rangers, who I admit I'm still working on because monsters are surprisingly easily to dream up than rainbow colored spandex clad super hero teams XD
I mean, there have been SO MANY ranger teams and themes over the years its hard to come up with something that hasn't been done to death already, or could be spun a different way etc

Oh yes, I know all about that from trying to come up with my own Rangeresque team for various different stories and such. I think it's easier to come up with monsters cause there's more free range on them to be a crazy as you want while the Rangers themselves have to fit into certain categories and themes and like you said it can be hard to pick ones that haven't already been used before.

Yep, and the same goes for the zords, not only is it hard to think up zord ideas that haven't been done already (or could be given a new spin on), ya gotta figure out how'd they would all fit together to make a Megazord, Ultrazord, etc...I think In Space may have had the right idea with fewer zords but more megazords lol
