I didn't think this was good to post here before it was finished but I thought, oh what the heck...Tidus modelled in 3dsmax, ornatrix for the hair.
Edit: My pc suffered a horrible system crash a few months back and brought down my hard drive that had all my 3d files with it. So I haven't been able to continue working on this model as it's gone. Thanks for all the comments guys! Hope you come back when I finally put up a new piece!

how did you do the head texturing and hair? is the hair done in alphas?

The hair was done using an old hair plugin called Ornatrix in 3ds max.

Despite it sadly being gone forever, this is simply gorgeous. I absolutely love the detailing on the hair.
