Description
Full view please! Lots of detail and lines!I was going to add a bit of color/value to this, but I was working with SAI and my computer decided it had to update right when I left the room sooooooo..... :/ Oh well, it probably would've been too busy anyways.

This is pretty freaking cool, love all of the lines in the hair! I think it would do alright with flat colors if you do eventually decide to color it.

Thanks!! The hair lines were kind of a pain, but I like how it turned out.
Yeah, I was thinking flat colors too. Either very something very simple, or use shades of grey with the occasional splash of color. The problem is, I don't have a transparent, lineart copy anymore, because I can't save with a SAI trial.

First. I LOVE her eyes. The hair is amazing as well! Good job, as always ^_^ And are you able to open Photoshop files on any of ur programs? I can pull it off the background for the transparent.

Thanks!!
Can you pull the lines off a white background w/o making the lines look jagged or rough? If you can do that, shoot me an IM or on a message on facebook.

On Photoshop there is an option to make a layer and have it just color, where it doesn't effect the line art or anything. Do they have that with Gimp?

The problem is that the version of the pic I have saved doesn't have a transparent background, just a white one. So if I open it in another program, I can't color underneath the lineart, just on it or on top of it.
I mean, I could still color it if I was VERY CAREFUL and had the patient of a saint.

Yeah, that's what I meant, on PS it doesn't matter if you have a separate layer for the line art, you can set a layer on top of it to a "color" setting where it preserves everything underneath it and just colors. It's pretty nifty because I hate doing things underneath line art. I'm just not sure if any other program has that option...if so, then I'd say to try it out.
Yeeah, wouldn't recommend coloring on top of it in any other way. That would be insane

Do you know what that feature is called? I think I'm still a bit confused, so I wanna see if I can find any tutorials or videos of it. I don't think GIMP has anything like that.

I'll take a screenshot of it later and show you-I think when you make a new layer, Gimp should have something called "color overlay" though.
