Zero was the name of the being from Kirby's Dreamland 3. In Kirby 64 he returns from the dead and fuses with his equally evil counterpart Dark Matter to become Zero Two (More commonly known as 02).
In Dreamland 3 when you destroy Zero's body, his Eye (Which seems to be the brain for beings like him) jumps ship and tries to take out kirby as he is doing in the pic.
