Yes...? I know she used to be human, but I think the reason she's called an android and not a cyborg is because Dr. Gero didn't see her as a human he was adding mechanical parts to, but just organic material he was using to build an android no different than the mechanical materials.

Uhmmm... you were right too. Their official japanese name is "Jinzou Ningen", that literaly means "Artificial Human". For the foreign version they chose the easiest translation "Android", but the translation "Cyborg" is used somewhere too. So, both the forms "A-18" and "C-18" are correct as reported here dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Andr…

Yeah, it looks like it's C-18 in some of the dubs. Since there's so much inconsistency that happens in DBZ, I usually stick to just the most well known of the english dubs as well as what's in the Kai dub. Again, in truth she's technically a Cyborg, but I don't think Gero ever saw them as Human.
