Srsly, in his first 30 days, he doubled the deficit and halved the investment. One can only ask:How did such an incompetent become our president? Can we even survive four years of this nutjob? *grumble grumble grumble*

I was just slightly irritated by this and felt the simplest way to relieve that was by saying that I was irritated and felt that you should understand how I feel. Especially since people also said similar things about FDR when he became president with his New Deal plans. *shrug*
It's only thirty days. I've had grades go from A's to C's in that time then pulled it back up to an 'A' by the time the semester grade came around.
Keep that in mind, and avoid becoming a Johnny-come-lately.

If you really look at history (you know the stuff they don't actually teach you school. Like the fact that this country a democratic Rebpublic and the 'Civil War' was actaully a Seperatist movement) you will find that the New Deal did not end the depression. Our successful involvement in World War 2 pulled us out of the depression.

It's been 30 days! The deficit was going down anyways AND Bush would have been worse, it took them too long to even pass the freaking bill, and that bill was half the reason we elected him!
This is just a perfect example of republicans freaking out over change, before even giving it a decent amount of time to develop, hell, every president needs a bit of time in the job, and you have NO idea what will happen in four years.
Hell, it's possible that we'll find you eating your words next week.

Possible, but not probable. He doubled the deficit, not halved it. You can't prove bush would have been worse because it never happened, and Obama also made the wrong choice: in a time of economic depression, instead of lowering the taxes like a smart person, he raised them.
This is a perfect example of Democrats glorifying their chief.

The economy always goes down before it goes up, if it falls at twice the speed it will also raise at twice the speed, I'm sorry, but are you an expert at economics? I'm not, but you seem to be talking like you are, so I want to check. How would letting people keep more money so they can just save it and not even move the economy be better then taking more money and supporting businesses that are crashing and making internal improvements?
Also, I never said anything great about the guy, sure, I like him, but the only thing I even said was that it was truly too early to judge.

The Bush deficit has simply failed to come back at this point in time, and he had 8 years to rectify his problem. Obama has to pick up the pieces of a faltering economy that bush was able to keep BARELY above water by playing stall tactics for a good year or so.
This cut should come as no surprise to anyone. Raising taxes is a (and i agree fully) stupid thing to do. The only thing that can bring us back to swing is now either a HUGE world war or just plaing waiting it out. If obama is slowing or speeding the process is questionable, but he's definantely not stupid. If its not working, he stop the process that got us into this mess, and hopefully be able to work it out.
