Description
Srsly, in his first 30 days, he doubled the deficit and halved the investment. One can only ask:How did such an incompetent become our president? Can we even survive four years of this nutjob? *grumble grumble grumble*

Not really: within Obama's first 30 days, he doubled Bush's deficit and half the investment. He rose taxes in a time of economic depression when it would be much smarter to lower them, and with the coming inflation, a billion $ may be only enough to buy cheeseburger.
I think the first 30 days are enough to judge that Obama won't be the best thing for the country in this time of crisis.
But i rant.

Yeah, but from my standpoint, a lot can happen in four years. He may continue this trend; he may not. The way I see it, it's no use getting worked up about the terrible possibilities and all that since they'd just happen anyway. If you don't want to be optimistic (I am not being optimistic either), you can join me in being apathetic.

This deviation has gotten a lot of comments already... it's really very contrivercial, or however you spell that (look i'm Ishelk
) But this is probably the most involved i've been in politics my whole life! Which is kind of sad

Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean that it didn't happen.
It's not necessarily so much the controversy that brings in a lot of those comments... it's also your potentially offensive reference to the KKK. That's a bit like making comments about needing Nazis if it were a Jewish president not doing so well, and that would fly even less well.
Of course I know better than to think that you're serious, as I know you in real life - but all these poor people assume that you meant it.

Only two comments on that, one recognized that i was joking and joked along with me, the other wasn't mad about it, but he did recognize that it was a bit extreme.
The only angry comment i recieved was someone who claimed that i should give the moron more credit than he deserves, and made no reference to the KKK comment.

Well, then consider yourself lucky; I've seen people get more grief for lesser things, although they proceeded to troll all their commenters, claiming that it was all for the sake of the animals and their justice.

Respect needs to be earned.
I'm not an expert on economy but I do know that you don't raise taxes to fix a recession. When he pulls a miracle to fix his current failing streak then we'll talk about earning respect.

Yea i bet people had that same Mentality with Bush too. *shakes head* Its fine and Dandy as long as it was a republican that was getting the hate, but when a democrat comes in, everyone has to give respect? Respect is earned, And he hasn't earned mine. Maybe the illegal immigrants, but not mine. and the only reason he got voted in was because he was black, not because he was qualified, Now i do not care about the color of his skin, but I do care that he was a nobody up until last year, and the only achievements he had before his 'residency' was a speech. No, if maybe he had a little something else coming to the table that proved change, then i would like him, But what change did he bring? He holds the same platform as every other democrat out there, I see no difference. He deserves the respect of the Democrats, for successfully pulling the wool over the eyes of a country for so long. All i know is, i am counting down the days till we are bombed again thanks to his spinelessness.

As a matter of fact, yes, because he seems to feel you can reason with terrorists. You don't find it a little odd that they wanted them him in office?

psycho-pigeon In reply to Starsan [2009-03-12 23:18:31 +0000 UTC]
That's absurd. If we're going to have more terrorist activity, it's going to happen regardless. To say that just because he took office is making us more prone to an attack is ridiculous.
YOU don't have to live here.
HE has a job and a service to do.
Me? I have orders to follow. I couldn't care less about what you think, but I suggest you show some respect for President Obama, or write him a letter asking him for his job.

Starsan In reply to psycho-pigeon [2009-03-13 00:51:56 +0000 UTC]
Is that your answer for everything? Take his job? Did you demand people respect Bush? Did anyone???? I do not have to Give him respect if I do not wish to, For its my AMERICAN RIGHT. I am not in the military, so if i wish to say something about him, I ahve every right to, Its called freedom of speech, I could care less if you do not like it, And i have no idea who you think you are to make demands of me, Or for that matter, what your 'orders' are.
I love being an American, I love my Country, and Just because I do not like the President, doesn't mean i have to Leave my Home. Seriously, get off your high horse and stop ordering people around like YOU are the leader.
People like you, make me laugh, and you wil be one of the people who are crying when you see the mistake America made in Picking him as Pres. I'm done with this pissing match

I have no respect for the moron. Why pretend to show it if i have none? He lost it when in his first 30 days he doubled our deficit and halved the investment. In case you don't know this, that's a BAD thing.
He proposed change, well here it is, and we're already much worse off. He doesn't deserve respect, not from me, nor any intelligent person.
If you think the world is going to shit, commit suicide, because i don't see you trying to help the problem any. Just accepting that we're doomed and not trying to do anything about it is the worst and most annoying form of pessimism.

Ku Klux Klan is a bit extreme but this guy really has no idea what the hell he's doing. He's on a power trip essentially, doing things the way he thinks they should be done instead of for the country. I can say that rather confidently because he's pretty narcissistic and proud. He may be thinking of the country, but a lot of the crap he's doing is his own agenda, not following his role as shepherd of the US. Almost all the Dems are just as bad, if not worse; Biden's a nutcase, Obama's wife hates the country she now serves and has disliked it for some time, the Clintons are messed up...
I doubt we're gonna last four years under this idiot >> unless he pulls some last-minute half-brained stunt that somehow pulls the nation out of the impending depression, he's only digging the hole further. BASIC economics courses in college detail how taxing during a recession only worsens it, yet he goes off and adds/increases taxes...you CUT taxes so people have more money to put into the suffering economy, that's how you get OUT of recession.
blarg, I'm ranting...but this guy better shape up soon or he's dragging the country down with him. I agree with the desert thing, he's already swayed half the country just by the color of his skin and many of them will follow him blindly.

Everyone has their own agenda. You can't just expect someone to be completely altruistic because you expect them to. That's incredibly naive. As a citizen, you have the right to free speech, and if you want to, use it. I honestly haven't been paying much attention to him, I just liked him cause he wasn't McCain.. *yawn* I'm sleepy.
