This was the second pass at Riddler for Arkham City... I felt I had something going with the initial design, so I wanted to keep pushing it towards a 60's Brittish/Vaudeville aesthetic... my thinking was that the more 'prissy' and put-together Riddler looks, it just makes his actions seem that much more psychotic by contrast... heheh, in hindsight, this might be TOO prissy, but I knew it was very much still the exploratory phases of the design.

Was I the only one who liked Riddler with the glasses? I thought they made him look badass. Plus, I always thought it was silly that he'd put a mask on, since everybody knew his real identity anyway. The mask really isn't needed.

I don't think it's "prissy" at all. The Joker was always "well dressed" in the Batman universe with his own ridiculous spin.

I think this outfit looks a little too similar to something the Joker would wear (just colour it purple and add a flower on the chest).
But the face is still a lot better than what became the finalized design in the game: here, the Riddler has red hair, a shaved face, no eyeglasses. Which is much better.

Cool design I love the finished example. I agree with you though he is a little too "prissy" as you said, maybe a little bit of grit would make him look sick without being mega psychotic like the joker, you have to deviate them slightly as I think the Ridler was considered less psychotic.

heheh, I see what you mean, but it might just be all that green throwing you off... what I refereed to as British is the cut of the outfit... a bit of punk rock in there too with the plaid pants and military boots tucked in.
