Description
I grew up in the North American Southwest, so I've always had an affinity for Native American Imagery... I specially love those oooold black and white photos of Chieftains... there's an honesty to those photographs that is hard to describe, specially when you think in hindsight to what happened to the great majority of those tribes.... anyway, this started out as a doodle in a sketchbook looking at some of those old images... this is no one in particular, I was looking at different photographs and this is an amalgamation of those.... then I scanned it to do some simple coloring and it just kinda' went off on it's own!I've been drawing so many superheroes lately that it was nice to do a different subject matter... I hate it when the brain starts to feel stagnant.

Love this... As it turns out I am from Native American descent, although it's not so much in my blood as I wish it was. My great-great grandmother was member of the Apache tribe, which I always thought was just great.

This is such a powerful, moving piece, brother. I too study Native Americans, and they are such a unique, amazing race. I have Amerindian heritage, and this piece is so empowering, yet brings me to tears. Excellent work brother, excellent work. For future reference, I would suggest reading George Catlin's 'American Indians'. Thanks brother. Excellent work! You are truly one with the Earth

Love it, yet a tragic and rather important picture.
It really shows how and what the Native people in the West and East went through, Reservations, False "Treaties", War, Disease, Alcohol, and Others.
