To what purpose? I mean, I understand the idea of a concealed stash in a book, but the point is to make it hold something that doesn't rattle around when someone picks it up. You also don't want to take away more than the is needed because any disparity in weight will immediately tip someone off again as soon as they pick it up.
Lets say, you wanted to hide a gun, so you do a cutout of a gun and make it so the gun fits snuggly in the pages of the book so when someone picks it up, it doesn't rattle around and the weight seems about correct.
Unless you have some big rectangular thing to place in there, I just don't see the purpose...

Really? Well that's umm very good. I would wish to see a book is read instead of framing someone's head, but the world is a weird place nowadays.
