Description
The Zeta Series Ultraman “Azure Sirius” is a Ultraman design that I created for the Ultraman contest devised by
and I couldn’t ignore this tempting challenge. Ultraman was one of the classics I grew up on watching and being inspired into the Arts, both illustration and martial. I had to give my homage in return.

* BTW, I know most ultras are red & silver & this one started off with the crimson and silver suit when he was in Nebula Z11 before he was upgraded to the Zeta project. I have the crimson version as well if anyone wants to see it, let me know & I will post it.

ZETA ULTRAMAN Series:
Azure Sirius (Blue Dogstar)

Human Host: Akira Sakurai
Symbiote: Zio-Nim-dai from the Land of Light, Nebula Z11
Height: 42m (163 feet)
Weight: 50 Tons (Earth Gravitation), 26 tons (full Zeta energy form)
Age: unknown
Flight Speed: (Mach 7) In energy form can reach Mach 9

Transformation item: miniature Cobalt sculpture of an alien wolf.

Special abilities known:

Terra Specium Ray: Similar to the Giga Specium ray, this ray is executed with the traditional forearms crossed stance, but the energy is enhanced by the released plasma spark core energy from the vents on the forearms that house the energy capacitors, for exponential damage.

Specium Disc: Similar to the Ultra slashers, These energy disc can be hurled at opponents from the arcing knife hand motions by Azure, but they contain Giga Specium energy doing far more damage.

Ultra weaver Rays: Azure Sirius has a small orifice on each finger tip that produces honed rays of disintegration energy/anti-matter to be weaved by his fingers cutting into anything they touch with non-regenerating consequences. This is often a technique used when Azure is utilizing one of his katas in close range melee. The rays dissipate after 3 seconds of being trailed. They can also be projected into focused slivers of needle like energy bolts and fired at opponents.

Specium saber: Azure is able to channel Ultra energy from the right gauntlet and solidify the energy into Kitana shaped blade to combat and slash adversaries. The gauntlet acts as the hilt and hand guard so Azure can still use his fingers in combat for grappling.

Twilight teleportation: 200 Mile range during combat or planetary teleportation, though the latter depletes Azure far more, but Azure must have been there before or can at least see it and Azure can teleport others that he has come into contact with up to 500kilo tons. Like ultra Q, when teleportation is used, Akira’s body is left unconscious.

Nova Gemini ryu: Yet to be activated

Prism Capsule: Some Kaiju and beings have proven to not be enemies just wrongfully misplaced and Azure is one that tries to decipher between alignments of Daikaiju encountered. Those Azure believes are of good alignment are encased in these energy field capsules and sent to a planet where they may flourish without having to be seen as a threat to the colony.

Azure Prism Field: A self generated force field that allows Azure Sirius to protect himself form attacks, but is more often deployed when he his protecting or rescuing another being from serious harm.

Azure Kaze Wolf form: Azure is able too draw lunar energy from moons and transform into an alien wolf like juggernaut predator form made of sentient energy, though this form depletes his energy reservoirs in smaller proportions and is used to hunt down Kaiju & Dark Ultras throughout the cosmos. It is great for stealth and is the hunter form that Azure uses. When activated it can draw upon energy form the Sirius star and become a Daikaiju predator to be reckoned with.

Clairvoyance tracking: Azure can scan various spectrums of sight including 270 Degree peripheral vision to track and search for deadly Kaiju & Dark Ultras. Azure often uses this to study a planet’s surface before SSSP forces explore its content.

Multi Kara Taima/Color Timer: Unlike most Ultra beings, Azure’s Power core is linked to the internal capacitors that charge him for longer durations in the Ultra form. Thus Azure has several Kara Taima to warn him when the multi energy reservoirs are nearly depleted.

Other abilities lie dormant… for now

History:

With the rising threat of more powerful Daikaiju and a startling numbers of Dark Ultra beings, the land of light was forced to pool their innovations together and retrieve some of their most powerful warriors from the Realm of Resting Light to attempt a restoration of order & balance across the multitude of universes. This meant delving into the deep Zeta oasis and awakening one of the legendary warriors of the Nim-Dai. Zio was once of the ones nominated to be awakened and so he answered the call. 6 others were also awakened and they were brought under a special proto type Gathering of super Ultras called the Zeta Series. They were designed not to be just ordinary monster fighters, they would be the special forces called in when a monster was to powerful for other Ultras to defeat or to hunt down and bring to justice the betraying renegades that call themselves Dark Ultras. Because of this Great cause, many abilities were imputed into these powerful new beings, which began to cause some fear and concern among a few of the designers. No one being should have this much power they thought for what if they too turned away from the Light and became a Dark Ultra. Before the project could be unplugged and halted, Several Dark Ultras led a strike against the secret forge where the Zeta series was being held. Ultra Ace was able to launch the vaults that contained the sleeping Zetas into dimensional gates and shut them down before the Dark Ultras could get to them all. The Dark Ultras were successful in destroying several before being forced in to retreat, but it is believed they too were able to lock on to the coordinates of several of the Zetas and seek them out before they can be awakened and found by the Ultras of Light.

In the far future on an offworld a SSSP (Science Special Search Party) Carrier, called the “Tosa” thunders through the harsh atmosphere just below the orbital ceiling of the planet Victus-8, located in the Sirius Star system. It’s been 25 years since the colony’s first landed and the atmosphere is still undergoing the terraforming process to make the air breathable for humans without technical assistance. The process has taken an unforeseen back-step as the drilling & mining to install the atmospheric processors has unearthed & unleashed a numerous array of Daikaiju beasts that now ravage the planet. It is as if the pant was seeded with them for some unknown reason. Victis-8 would have been abandoned a long time ago had it not been so rich in resources and if the SSSP could locate another habitat close enough to sustain the crew, the militia and its thousands of civilian workers. Several of the Daikaiju have been thwarted or imprisoned but many more run rampant. This time the Tosa is returning to the compound from its salvage exploration where it discovered a large vault like artifact with Ultraglyphs sculpted about its surface, resonating with an unknown powersource inside, that was deep under the labyrinth of icy water shelves. The drilling and disturbance was surely to disturb the resident Kaiju and the Tosa is now rising above the stormy thick clouds and ice peaks with its catch.

It isn’t long before the cloud roaring engines attract attention as the thick frost clouds conceal many hidden ice formations, some too close to avoid as the Tosa smashes through them. An ambushing pride of 5 large Daikaiju uncloak from their invisibility cloaks, each resembling giant 200-foot white furred Saber tooth biomechanical Fu-Lions with long frosty matted dread locks with a sleek central blue visor & segmented scorpion like tails, leap onto the Tosa’s front port with smashing results. Each Tundra Saber Lion pounces about the ship’s exterior digging their powerful claws into mechanical plates of armor and machinery that surrounds the hull, shredding it & ripping it apart as they search for way in. The leader seeming to be the largest of the pride has a Scorpion like tail with a stinger that is emitting powerful streams of electricity that course across the Ships hull. Scorching the metal plating and leaving nitrogen pools that build & corrode the ships armor, challenging the Tosa’s integrity. Bridge operators and automated systems firing numerous barrages from the outer gun towers and sentry cannons that walk & roll across the surface but they are too slow in targeting the beasts as they begin to smash and destroy the cannons. Their cloaking in and out makes it even harder to keep up with them even as large as they are, only the seismic sensors keep the guns locked onto their general locations.

Alarms echo loudly through the Tosa’s bridge, Corridors & hangars as emergency teams rush to their positions to face the threat. The first squadron is already on stand-by, awaiting their orders as the Kaiju Scientific Biology Stats download into their HUD displays. Commander Kobayashi knows that the Tosa is a powerful battleship, but cannot withstand such an assault for much longer before a breech in the hull occurs. It isn’t long before Lt. Takara commands the Wolf Pack Squadron to engage the Kaiju before they breech the ship. Secure bars unlatch as the hydraulic elevator floors lift the Silver metal Mechs into their deployment positions. Outer bay doors open releasing large clouds of steam as the hot air meets the frigid climate. The large steam clouds instantly attract the attention of the Tundra Saber Lions and they all stop thrashing the Tosa and lock onto the thick clouds seeping out of the Tosa. The leader Tundra saber bares his large saber canines & hisses loudly, detesting whatever challenges his primal authority, as blue electricity streams drool from his mouth burning into the deck. Each mech rises slowly head first into the atmosphere & into the fray. When the steamy thick smoke clears the (7) Mechs are unsheathed revealing their armored humanoid forms with the arsenal targeting their adversaries as the Mecha’s sleek, almost sinister looking visors flicker from the reflections of the sky.

Lt. Takara orders them to work as wingman on the 4 sentinels while he takes on the largest one as their thrusters ignite with ice blue fury. The Tundra Saber lions charge immediately at the closest mechs on the ships vector. Pilot Akira is the first to meet his adversary before his wingman can align with him and the too lock into combat weaving through the ships external crevices and towers like a dance of fighting flies. Each firing and slashing at each other with ferocity & determination, yet each too agile to be hit by the other. The other mechs strafe their adversaries and flank them forcing them to crawl underneath the Tosa to avoid the auto-rounds. This forces the mechs to leave the surface of the ships by disengaging their gravity locks and to fly off the Tosa and underneath to go hunting for the large Kaiju. This is what the pilots wanted to avoid. The Tosa’s deck surface was well lit by the blue sun but underneath where it is covered in dark shadows, these Daikaiju could hide in the various bays, towers and sculpture of the ship like true ambushers and be totally concealed. Their biomechanical structure didn’t release any heat signatures for them to track so this was turning from bad to worse within seconds.

It wasn’t long after Akira was isolated from the squadron where he was ambushed by one of the other Tundra Saber Lions. It decloaked and bit into his cockpit and He was grappling with it’s neck and head while taking a fierce beating and raking by its upper arms & claws. Each claw slash sent streams of electricity throughout this mech, deadening the cpu systems level by level. It wouldn’t be long before he would parish in the metal coffin. The rest of the Wolf Pack squadron couldn’t reach him as they were engaging the others. A voice entered into his mind, speaking an alien dialect, yet using similar emotions Akira some how understood the gestures being submitted to his conscious. As his Mecha was shredded a powerful blue spark of energy flashed across the cloudscape. Akira was one with Zio, forged together as an Titan warrior becoming “Azure Sirius”. Azure Sirius battled the Tundra Sabers viciously, as the mechs were way over their heads and being demolished. The Tundra Sabers tried their final assault by merging into a solidified humanoid form that towered over Azure Sirius. The two giants fought, but the Tundra King was felled by the Terra Specium Ray and the smoldering beast feel into the ocean leaving trials of ash all the way before being totally disintegrated.

Azure Sirius is now the Guardian of the colony and works in conjunction with the SSSP’s outer rim forces to explore planets to find a more suitable habitat for the colony and to hunt down the renegade Dark Ultras & the menacing Daikaiju that threaten the Universes.
