2DF Round 2 ! DEATH RACE!!!

Its round 2 of 's 2DF and AngelCrusher Raceway is set ablaze as the proposed 2nd round race has degenerated into a violent demolition derby to determine those worthy of advancing to the next round of competition.

That said advancing will be no easy feat as Hinotori must face 's immortal combatant Stephan .

Unfortunately for Stephan she's immortal but not invulnerable and neither is her vehicle.

Hinotori makes the most of this slight opening coupled with the superior mobility of her custom hover bike "Shōhō" to attack and tear apart Stephan's vehicle and send it and Stephan's aspirations to a fiery demise.

misc. notes:
This round was a lot of fun , the racing scenario opened up a lot of fun possibilities as far as ideas go.

I really enjoyed designing Hinotori's vehicle dubbed the Shōhō ( meaning auspicious phoenix, named after a Japanese aircraft carrier), It's design was very heavily influenced by the Tatsunoko vehicle designs present in shows like Gatchaman, Speed Racer, Casshern etc. mostly because those designs were kick ass and were great for superheroes. So the design of the Shōhō as well as Hino's helmet and cape are homages and tributes to that Tatsunoko design tradition I love so much.

I hope everybody enjoys this as much as I enjoyed making it.
