Did something Marvel related for DevlinDracul ! I'm new to greyscale, hopefully I did well enough. I'll need the practice! Devlin even wrote up a story behind this encounter, so please, enjoy!

Spider-Man was swinging around New York, thinking about turning it in for the night since not so much as a petty robbery had happened. Having Venom on his side now made patrolling New York a bit easier. He still wasn't so sure about letting Mayday join in but his kid was doing well enough. Besides, Miles has been around to keep her out of too much trouble. Everything's fine.

But he'd better see his baby girl at home before him. It's nearly curfew. Superhero or not, she still had school tomorrow, and MJ was just as strict as him about-

"Hm? Spidey-Senses?" Spider-Man looked toward a building. It was one of the research buildings Oscorp owned, but it had just recently been labeled condemmed since Osborn planned on making a brand new building. Peter heard that most of the tech and research should have been taken out, so why was he sensing danger from it?

Through one of the unlocked skylights, Spidey dropped through, looking around. "Goblin, you in here? Yoo-hoo, Rhino? Nah, you would have come charging in by now. Ooh, maybe it's Chameleon!"

Spidey then jumped and stuck to the wall just as a tentacle struck at him. "Aah, tsss, Oc. That was my next guess!"

"As aggravating as ever," Octavious said as he walked out of the shadows, hands behind his back, his metal arms all ready to strike.

"Come on, Doc, you literally just broke out yesterday. You really want me to send you back? It's been a few years, ya know."

"Oh, I'm well aware. As well as enlightened. I know my mistakes, and now I can correct them. Even perfect my method."

"Are you kidding me, Octavious?! I thought I told you that no one could control the symbiotes!"

"Correction. No MAN. As such, I need to become something more," Doc Oc said as he held up a vial.

"Uh-uh! No idea what you're planning, but it ain't gonna happen," Spidey went as he webbed the vial out of Doc's hand. Unfortunately, he didn't see the doctor smirk.

"Alright, Oc," Spidey said as he held the vial. "We can do this the easy way or the fun way. Your- AAH," He went after he felt a stab in his hand, dropping the vial. He looked to see that it was enough to draw blood. "What the- What did you do?!"

"Oh, nothing really. Just made it more difficult for you to get in my way this time."

"You really think drugging me is enough to stop me?"

"Drug? No, my dear foe. That is no mere drug. You see... I know."

"Know what?"

His smirk widened. "About your little tussle with Punisher."

"Punisher? We scrap all the time. I don't agree with his methods and he still listens to J Jonah Jackass's podcast."

"But one of those bouts... you were ill."

Spider-Man's eyes widened. "No."

"To think, studying you through New York's surveillance system throughout the years would yield something so extraordinary. Why you threw away such a grand power, I'll never know. You should be grateful, Spider-Man. I've helped you evolve into your awesome, TRUE form."

"OCTAVIUS, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'VE DONE! GIVE ME THE ANTIDOTE! NOW!"

Doc Oc chuckled. "I think not."

"OCTAVI-AAAAAH," Spidey screamed as he fell to the ground, grabbing his sides, and crying in agony. "Otto, please! The anti-aaah! Antidote! D-Don't let me turn into that... that THING again!" Peter screamed, tears flowing down his face and soaking his mask.

Doc Oc chuckled villainously. "Farewell, Spider-Man. When next we meet, I shall be the King of the Symbiotes, and not even you and your awesome power shall be able to stop me," he said as he vanished into the darkness.

Spider-Man screamed in agony as he began to transform. The mutation was at a rate far faster than before, Peter already growing his extra arms, his claws forming. In mere moments, the Man-Spider roared towards the lightning lit heavens.

Venom was sitting next to a gargoyle, eating a chocolate bar. He then sighed. "We're so bored. We've been doing too good of a job! No crooks! No supervillains! No city-wide threats! Hell, not even any sign of Carnage! We can't believe we're actually complaining about not seeing the one wack-job that can kill us." Venom then heard a roar, smirking. "FINALLY, SOME ACTION," he roared before web-swinging toward the building.

It didn't take him long to reach the building, landing right where Spidey did before looking around. He sniffed the air. "That smell. Yo, Spidey, you around? It smells like calamari in here. You tussled with Oc?!"

He walked around, looking for his one-time rival turned ally. "SPIDEY," Venom yelled out in frustration. He then spotted something.

He webbed it, bringing whatever he saw to him. It was part of Peter's costume. Venom then saw another piece and webbed it. His eyes widened when he saw it was Spider-Man's mask. "PARKER! PARKER, WHERE ARE YOU?! SAY SOMETHING!"

Venom's animalistic senses then alerted him of danger. He backflipped in order to avoid the pouncing enemy, webbing its back.

However, his adversary grabbed the web and used ti to swing Venom around.

'What the hell,' Venom thought. 'This guy's strong enough to swing ME around?! ME?!'

Venom slammed his feet into the wall, anchoring himself. "PLAYTIME'S OVER," he roared as he was about to yank back.

However, his enemy spewed green liquid at him. "WHOA," Venom went just as the liquid seemingly hit him.

The creature growled as it watched its acid melt the wall away. Then, it grabbed the air near the left side of its head.

"WHAT THE HELL," Venom went as he became visible again. "HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! NOT EVEN SPIDER-MAN CAN DO THAT!"

The monster then threw Venom, the hero crashing through various walls and destruction equipment before slamming on a support beam.

Venom looked up to see the monster pounce at him, mouth wide open for a bit, but Venom instead grabbed it by the head and slammed it into the ground, the beast coughing in pain a bit.

"Alright, punk! You messed with the wrong-" he began before he saw the insignia on the monster's chest. "Parker?"

Man-Spider roared at Eddie before punching him several times with his free arms. What shocked Venom next was the fact the punches hurt. Way worse than when Spider-Man punched him. Every blow felt like a sonic boom to him.

Man-Spider then grabbed Venom by the head before throwing him out a window, the mad monster lunging out of the window after Venom.

As the two fell, Man-Spider grabbed Venom by the throat, putting one of its massive, clawed feet on his chest, before roaring aggressively and terrifyingly at the hero.

"This is gonna be a long night," Venom thought before the two slammed into the ground.
