visited tokyo in the last 2 weeks during sakura season! this was taken at shinjuku gyoen, near where we were staying. i brought my danboard along for photo ops just like this one! i'd never visited japan in spring time before - it was super pretty.

the flowers did bloom even more eventually (it was in full bloom by our last day), i had no idea that it would be possible to be even more stunning than this! we bought bento boxes and sandwich ingredients from isetan and had a little hanami picnic enjoying the breath taking view. it was a very good holiday

incidentally, i went down to the kaiyodo retailer store in akihabara looking for more danboards to buy. they're discontinued, and can't even be found there! people do sell them on e-bay, but i'm not really an e-bay person, so... i'm just really glad to even own one
