Description
My attempt at the alien race called Quarians from the game "Mass Effect": [link]I have yet to play either Mass Effect 1 or 2, but I know it was made by Bioware, the same developers of "Knights of the Old Republic", so it has to be good (and everything I have heard so far about both the games is positive).
I hear that in ME2 you can have the hero character, Sheppard, hook up with some of the female 'cast', including the female Quarian called Tali.
Before I do the inevitable nude version and hook up my version of Tali with Sheppard
According to this production image the face is basically human: [link]
But things could have changed since this image was made, and it gives no idea as to her skin tone.

Hm. Well, this pic's not bad...just FYI, my guess is that a quarian's skin tone is blue.

very good but, the brether is on her chin when it should be on her mouth. Although It's possible that she could move her head above the breather which would explain how she manages to kiss shepard in the subplot.

Well, except for the visor portion, I put the rest of the breather together from 'scratch'.
Maybe if I do future images I'll move the bottom portion of it up some to cover her lower face, though.

Well, there was a Quarian .obj model at ShareCG, but it seems to have been removed now (just checked and its not there any longer).
I only used the visor from the model however (the glass faceplate), everything else I built out of other props, with the body being some sci-fi outfit I had in my library (and I used some 'nightcrawler' foot/hand morphs I picked up elsewhere).
I'll look up the quarian file and give you a link later.

no worries..just asking because Im currently modeling Tali..an exact copy of the game model and then a "thicker" version. ^_^
however..I would like to know if you can make some quick busty bodies in different poses as obj, I want to practice some advanced texturing techniques on females but I rather not have to model a new body every time for these tests I would show you the en result, in fact, you can use the texturing on your work
(high spec textures/ complete with normal maps)

suggest:
shepards bed
-one or all of the female characters waiting in shepards bed
-samara melding with another female naked
-jack dominating miranda
-making love in space (observation deck /space background)

Nice job almost look alot like a Quarian, did you put that together or do they have Mass Effect now some where? I am searching and looking for Mass Effect items for Daz/Poser so far no luck yet. I only found one thing that is as close to the Asari. If you could help me out or you know any that would be great.
I did find some nude pictures of Mass Effect I am not sure if that is accurate of the Quarian. I am guessing they aren't like humans or have the same skin color. I am sure they are different and have different colors. I Keep up with the nice work you are doing.

Over at ShareCG there was someone who made a Quarian .obj model: [link]
Of course I can't use it in Poser, and I don't know how to put bones in an .obj model (and I like to modify the body shapes of my figures ).
I did use the faceplate from that model, though.

I see, I did use those one time I couldn't get it to work in the program or in the other ones. It would be pretty cool if they did work correctly in Daz Studio or Poser. I only found some things that are close to Mass Effect but really I didn't find anything or that worked in the programs.
Awesome work though and keep up the nice work. If I need any help or any questions later I will ask later.

I just finished Mass Effect 2 (great game) and I hooked up with Tali. Shame you don't see her face when she takes off her mask.
I like your version of a Quarian.

Interesting!
Yeah, Tali does for HIPS what Chun-Li does for THIGHS.
Nobody knows what Quarians look like. It's entirely open to interpretation, but the majority of fan artwork shows her skin as a shade of purple or slightly greyish. But ultimately, nobody really knows. So... artistic liberties can be taken.

Oh too bad that you did not played ME yet. I think honestly that it would make your work easier and better. Though she does look nice. Tali has great hips!

Yeah, I noticed the hips in every screen shot I have seen, as well as the 'production sketch', so I increased her hip size a bit

Nobody will ever see what a quarian looks like period, they are basically allergic to everything their immune system can't take anything. So even if she took off a glove it could kill her. So sex with sheppard is out unless they do it in a clean room. Also don't listen to MasterofDestiny you need to play the first game. Because one your character transfers over and two some of the side quests in 1 carry over and have some meaning in 2 so don't listen to that person.

This is V3; I used the 'Nightcrawler" foot/hand morphs found at Animotions.com (made for M3, works for V3 and David as well).

Yeah, they never actually show the face at all. I completed the story arc that has Sheppard hook up (you have to see the professor's response, I nearly died laughing), and they never show the face at all.
Dang teases. Oh yeah, skip mass effect 1. The second one is much better in every possible way.

Thanks for the info; I guess I'll just use 'artistic liscense' with her face then.
I'll still pick up ME 1 though; I'm sure I can find it in the bargain bin somewhere now that ME 2 is out

MasterofDestiny In reply to Chup-at-Cabra [2010-01-31 00:05:14 +0000 UTC]
The first one is worth playing so you have a character to import. It was nice for one play through (bargain bin pick-up is a must), but the errors and what the heck moments (at least on the pc) were distracting.
There's a large wiki on the Mass Effect universe you may want to check out. Given that I'm not one hundred percent clear on including links, you can search "mass effect wiki" on google and it should be the first result.
Enjoy the second game, though I'd start at a lower difficulty. The higher difficulties get very cheap very quickly.
