Description
When I was a little girl, I often wished that I would turn into a mermaid. I only realized what a foolish idea that was after I watched a Cantonese movie called "人魚傳說." People wanted to capture the mermaid. =\Tools:

Hey, ehm, it's my first time getting critique in my watcher's list so I went ahead and checked what was up. I hope you don't mind me leaving comment like that! ^^
memod, Wow! You wrote a beautiful critique!!! I gave you the Fair vote because it was well-written, deeply pointing out everything. It made me realize that I have overlooked many things with ciaee's beautiful art so it has been a pleasant learning experience for me to read your critique! Thanks!
Ciaee, beautiful, expressive piece! I'll browse your gallery! Thanks to memod!

Dancakes! Thank you so much for writing such an in-depth and well thought out critique. I truly appreciate your time spent on this.
I feel that you're right on many points. I neglected to think of the focus point when painting this, and I can see what you mean when you wrote that it was difficult for you to decide which part was dominating. Looking at it again, I also agree that the painting might benefit from a secondary light source.
Also, I didn't notice the JPEG artifacts before you pointed that out! So thank you for that too. I'll upload a less compressed version soon.

Aww, you are most welcome! I very much enjoyed looking at your piece and having a thorough look at it. It is interesting how you discover so many more things about a piece, when you analyse a piece deeper.
And I do not mean only things to critique by that!
It's such a wonderful picture
Yay cookies! I love those!

Well it's always more fun when both glomp!
Hehe well class in itself is nice to have, but these dry and pointless assignments...writing a scientific report about film history over 5000 words and another 1500 assignments...additionally to other assignments we got already prior...gah And today's lectuerer is a bit annoying, haha.
Thank god for skype, firefox and pens
Hm, gimme a catchword / theme

This is fabulous, I love the softness of the textures on her tail and the way the whole image flows. The colours are excellent too. Featured here: [link]

Thank you. I didn't create this piece out of feelings of regret but rather, I just feel that we should be more aware of the true consequences of the things we wish for. For often it's not as we imagine.

Wow. Total adoration. I really like the different textures you used, and the fluid nature of the work. I especially really like how the dandelion fades in to one part of the swirls, and the dress changes into fish scales. Really vivid and gorgeous. (Also, the title = GORGEOUS)
