I've always thought of Gackt as this really fake person with thick cakey make-up... until I read his Jihaku (Confessions). You can find the translated version here --> [link] (I must stress that this is not the replacement of the actual book)He's quite an inspiration to me. His seemingly passionate, eccentric and perfectionist ways...
has definitely affected my approach to some things.
Oh and of course, his music's great - especially the instrumental pieces.

But seriously...THIS just amazes me. Few people are ever really able to capture him well, but damn, you did. D: Those pictures are perfect; you've really captured who he is...both his talent, and him as a person.
And you know...I think a lot of people immediately assume a celebrity is completely fake, especially if they're popular, AND men who wear makeup. XD But nope...he is himself, on stage and off. That's why I love him. D:

i think the profile one with his guitar captures him the best, the middle one i think his eyes look a little too big.
i love how this picture flows. how you used the lights and darks to fade into the other pictures and how it's 5 different pictures but they all look like the go together. i find piecing things in this way to be extremely challenging >.>
i like the yellow haze in the background though i'm not sure if that was intended or from your scanner.

T0T so after poking around your gallery...my eyes wide from looking at so much awesome work...i came across this...and as a hardcore fan of Gackt...i could not resist. It's amazing...*.* you blended all of the faces so nicely together....and your shading work is nothing short of perfect. When i come across the cash I am going to buy a print...seriously...i'm not just saying that...i want this one my wall..so i can see it before i sleep...Amazing work!!

The biggest one I have on sale is 8" X 12".. That'd be around the size of A4. That's quarter the size of the original. Quite small, methinks.
